Vindicator Park

donated by Malcolm Bartlett
History of Vindicator Park
--

The newspaper, The Vindicator & Brigus Reporter, was published here from 1898 to 1903, and was on sale every Wednesday on the streets of Brigus for 1 cent per copy. The building was constructed of stone and brick around 1820. The outline now remains of the original stone structure. Photos of the complete structure, as well as copies of the newspaper may be seen at the Stone Barn Museum. A story board detailing the seafaring history of Brigus appears on this site.
